Die Geburtstagsfeierlichkeiten zum 25sten der Rock'n'Roll Ehrenhalle brachte einige Überraschungen auf die Bühne des New Yorker Madison Square Garden. They does it for themselves: ARETHA FRANKLIN und Annie Lennox. JEFF BECK brachte Buddy Guy, Sting und Billy Gibbons auf die Bühne - METALLICA neben dem bereits angekündigten Ray Davis (THE KINKS) auch Lou Reed und Ozzy Osbourne. Den Vogel schossen allerdings U2 ab, die mit Mick Jagger, Patti Smith und Bruce Springsteen glänzen konnten.
