REDEMPTION, die US-Progressive-Metal-Band um Gitarrist / Songwriter Nick Van Dyk und dem legendären Fates Warning Sänger Ray Alder, werden ihr neustes, fünftes Studioalbum, mit dem Titel "This Mortal Coil" am 23. September in Europa und am 11. Oktober in Nord-Amerika via InsideOutMusic, veröffentlichen. Daher stellt die Band ab sofort eine erste Songprobe des Albumtracks "Noonday Devil" als Stream auf ihrem Facebook-Profil (Achtung: "Gefällt mir" klicken notwendig!) zur Verfügung.

REDEMPTIONs Nick Van Dyk kommentiert den Song wie folgt:
"The "Noonday Devil", as a concept, is about doubt.  Are my efforts worth it?  What's the point of going on in the face of this adversity?  Is there any meaning to my struggle or is this just pointless?  These whispers of desperation can creep into all of us.  As part of "This Mortal Coil", all of which represents reflections on morality, "Noonday Devil" is the point at which we decide to dig in and kick this specter of doubt in the teeth.  It's one of the most in-your -face songs we've ever done, with musical energy that matches the determination in the lyrics."

Aufgenommen und gemixt wurde "This Mortal Coil" vom legendären Produzenten Neil Kernon (Queensryche, Nevermore, Kansas, usw.) und das Artwork wurde von dem renommierten Künstler und langjährigen Mitarbeiter der Band Travis Smith (Opeth, Avenged Sevenfold, Nevermore, usw.) erstellt.
